Elective Despotism - Part III

Did You Vote for a Despot?
Part III

In Part I we discussed how our Founding Fathers were concerned we would not be able to hold onto the republic they had created for us and urged education for all children and the teaching of the Bible.
No history classesIn Part II, we saw how religion was removed from our school system and efforts are being made to remove it from all public aspects of our lives.  In addition, the quality of the American education system has sharply declined and placing our children’s education much lower than other countries of the world.  The loss of U.S. and world history and civics classes has led to voters who are unaware when their rights are stolen from them by the politicians.
As a result, we have seen increasing callousness on the welfare of Americans by our politicians as they continue to grab power and money for their own benefit.
When you have Hillary Clinton say after 4 Americans were murdered in Benghazi:  Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night and decided they’d go kill some Americans?  What difference – at this point, what difference does it make?"
If the government willfully ignores calls for more security for months by Ambassador Stevens and others, then refuses to send help, do you really expect help when you need it?
When the IRS targeted conservatives, veterans, Tea Party Members, Christians and Jews who opposed Obama by denying them 501(c)(4) status or auditing them for donating to Republicans, do you think it is safe for you to speak out against the government?

When DHS (Department of Homeland Security) buys 1.5 billion bullets (enough to shoot every single American 5 times), how are you going to be able to afford or even get bullets to protect yourself?  What about when DHS buys armored vehicles and body army for police departments around the country?
When the NSA spies on every single American via their emails, phone calls, Skyping, and YouTube videos and stores that data in a huge facility in Utah that can hold 3 to 12 exabytes (an exabtye is 1 trillion bytes * 1,000), as well as over 2,000 other facilities, do you really expect to have any privacy?

When you have a government that takes away your healthcare and forces you to buy government-standard healthcare, do you really expect to get quality healthcare?  Especially if they pay over $300 billion for an enrollment program that should not have cost more than $20 - $30 billion per Google and Microsoft. (If you really want to see what you will get, research the VA  (Veteran’s Affairs government healthcare system.)
In 2010, 85% of incumbent U.S. representatives and senators were re-elected.  I know that many people were not re-elected because they were doing a good job.  They were re-elected because people either walk into the voting booth and vote for a particular party or they vote for the name they recognize.
The names of newcomers are much less likely to be known by the general public and so are ignored.  Even worse, when new people step up to replace the incumbents at primaries, very few voters tend to vote during primaries and those that do, vote on name recognition.  They don’t take the time to look at the voting history of candidates.  Incumbents often say one thing, but do another when they vote on bills because they know people don’t pay attention.
Incumbents will also, on occasion, vote the way you like because they know there are enough votes already for the bill to pass and their vote won’t make a difference in the outcome.  Then they use that vote you liked to fool you into thinking they do what you want.  You have to look at their entire voting history.
If you truly want to make a difference in your children’s lives,
- educate yourself and let your children see you do it
Constitution Quest Game- teach them about the Constitution and Bill of Rights (the Constitution Quest game is a really fun way to do this)
- write your state and federal level senators and congressman and your governors every week (I often write one letter and send it to all of them.  The internet is a great and fast way to get the message to them.)
- research the people on your school boards and elect those who will protect and educate your children, or if at all possible, pull your kids out of school and team them yourself.
- research your city representatives and mayors and elect those who will do what is best for your city, not the unions
- The Republican and Democratic National Parties also have their agenda to control the people.  Money donated to these parties is spent on politicians who follow the instructions of the leaders of the parties.  If you like a politician who does not follow these instructions, the party will not give him / her money for the election campaign.  Therefore, do NOT donate to the party.  Donate directly to the candidate you support.

If you don’t, you will continue to elect despots whose goal is to RULE you and your children, not WORK for you.

Elective Despotism - Part II

Did You Vote for a Despot?
Part II

In Part I, we discussed how we, the voters, are to blame for the mess of our government.  This has been building for about 100 years, but we are now reaching the true danger zone of rapidly collapsing into tyranny.
When Benjamin Franklin left the Constitutional Convention a woman asked him what kind of government the people would have and he replied, “A republic, if you can keep it.”  Our Founding Fathers knew full well there would be those who would try to return to a tyrannical government.
Many of our founding Fathers also warned of the need for quality education for all and the teaching of the Bible, for the loss of these would result in ignorant and immoral people acting and voting on selfish motives alone, egged on by great promises of egotistical politicians.
That is exactly what is happening today.  Belief in a higher power has been taken out of the schools and the battle has escalated to remove it from the public view.  The Ten Commandments have been removed from courthouses around the country.  Protests have led to the removal of the nativity scene in public areas, people saying “Happy Holiday” instead of “Merry Christmas” so they don’t offend a few, and kids now sing “Silent Night, Holy Night” at school events without mentioning Jesus.
Preachers are terrified of offending their congregations and so refuse to speak out against the growing immorality of our society, further increasing depraved behavior.  Just look at Miley Cyrus’ recent performances with her disgusting gyrations and sexual overtones.
Today’s preachers need to have the backbone like the preachers of the mid-1700s.  They were called the Black Robed Regiment by the British and they are actually credited for America’s independence from Britain.  For 20 years leading up to the American Revolution, their sermons taught and reminded the people their rights come from God, not some politician or the government.  According to John Adams (2nd American President) credited the Black Robed Regiment with the “awakening and a revival of American principles and feelings”, which ultimately led to America’s independence.

As people are intimidated into concealing their religious beliefs, it becomes easier for the despots to intimidate them in other ways, such as speaking out about the appalling standards the U.S. has achieved educationally.  American kids are no longer #1 in the world.  American students now rank at #36 in math, #28 in science and #24 in reading.  Our kids have been so cheated by government and union controlled education system, they are now behind kids in China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Poland, Finland, Holland, Canada and Australia, just to name a few.

If this were not bad enough, the teaching of American and World history, as well as civics, has declined across the nation.  Since today’s 20, 30 and 40 year olds do not know the Constitution or Bill of Rights, they are not aware when politicians steal their rights.  Lack of education has led to poor voter knowledge and the inability to make intelligent decision in the voting booth.
I don’t know why every single parent in the U.S. is not pulling their children out of the public schools.  I spent 20 long years fighting for my children’s education.  When they were in public schools, I supplemented what they learned at school with home activities.  Whenever I could afford it, they went to private schools, and I still watched everything they were being taught.
I also worked in the public schools for several years and I watched as administrators instructed staff NOT to tell parents what was going on in the school.  These same administrators would stand in front of parents at gatherings, kindly inviting them to participate in their children’s education, but the moment there were no parents around, they would complain about parents that tried to be involved and would go to great lengths to discourage parental involvement.  It made me sick.
I was honest with parents, much to the school system’s anger.  Needless to say, I don’t work there anymore.  However, I would rather betray the school system and union than betray a single child.
Schools are no longer for educating our children.  Our children are merely a tool to raise taxes and more money for unions and administrators.  Every year, politicians promise better education to get your vote and to get union dollars to pay for their elections.  Teachers and staff are so intimidated by the unions and administration, most will not speak out.  Your child suffers and becomes an ignorant member of society to be controlled for the government good.
So, we have lost our religious morality.  We have lost our educational superiority.  We are becoming ignorant sheep whose only purpose is to enrich and empower the government.  They no longer work for you.  YOU WORK FOR THEM.
In Part III, we will discuss examples of political despotism and how you can take control of your life and fight for your children’s futures.

Elective Despotism: Part I

Did You Vote for a Despot?
Part I

Thomas Jefferson warned us of the danger of "elective despotism:"

Thomas Jefferson

"They should look forward to a time, and that not a distant one, when a corruption in this, as in the country from which we derive our origin, will have seized the heads of government, and be spread by them through the body of the people; when they will purchase the voices of the people, and make them pay the price. Human nature is the same on every side of the Atlantic, and will be alike influenced by the same causes. The time to guard against corruption and tyranny, is before they shall have gotten hold of us. It is better to keep the wolf out of the fold, than to trust to drawing his teeth and talons after he shall have entered."

Despotism is defined as a system of government in which the ruler has unlimited power according to the Miriam-Webster dictionary.  Jefferson warned the despots would take control of government and then would win people’s votes by giving them free stuff.  Though the people would not realize it, they would pay in the end:  higher taxes, lower quality health care, controlling where they go, what they do.

City HallDespots are not just at the federal level.  They have permeated every level of our lives from the school system, to city hall, to state governments.  We now have unelected people in positions of power and no one to stop.  Every month, the EPA, the ATF, the Educational Dept, the Commerce Dept making thousands of laws with no one to stop them.  In fact, these departments actually exist in violation of the Constitution.

So who is to blame for the stranglehold put on Americans and how they grow their food, raise and educate their children, buy property and build houses, build businesses or the emptiness of compartments in their cars? (Yes, a 30-year old man was arrested because a compartment in his car was empty and could be used to carry drugs, even though no evidence of drugs was found.)

The answer is: WE, the voters, are to blame for the mess in this country.

Our Founding Fathers came from 13 colonies, and were individual governments.  They were as separate as England is from France and France is from Saudi Arabia.

The 13 colonies came together to throw off the control of King George III.  Upon completing that task, they realized they needed to remain together, resulting in the states creating the federal government, NOT the federal government creating the states.  The purpose of the federal government was ONLY for military protection, interacting diplomatically with other countries and regulating commerce with foreign nations, dealing with Indians and interstate commerce.  The purpose of interstate commerce was to ONLY ensure free trade between the states.

However, the federal government has so perverted interstate commerce to the point it is now being used to force Americans to buy very expensive government-regulated healthcare.

As I said, Americans have only themselves to blame for the mess we find ourselves in.  For the first almost 150 years, the federal and state governments encouraged education for all students on the Bible and the Constitution.

The Northwest Ordinance of 1787 under the Articles of Confederation mandated all new states set up systems for public education.  The law states: “Religion, morality, and knowledge [are] necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind.”  Most of the colonial universities were founded with a requirement of biblical teaching and worship.  Some of these were Harvard, Princeton, College of William & Mary, Columbia University, Yale and Rutgers University. In fact, Yale was founded to fight liberalism in 1701.

George Washington believed that religion first, then schooling were necessary components of virtue.  He believed the benevolent spirit that preserved civil society and good government were grounded in religion and education.  In his Farewell Address of 1796, he stated “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports.”  Washington recommended Americans constantly promote “institutions for the general diffusion of knowledge.  In proportion as the structure of a government gives force to public opinion, it is essential that public opinion should be enlightened.”  The Founding Fathers felt an ignorant, immoral people would act and vote on selfish motives alone, steered by the sensational promises of demagogues.

In Part II, we will discuss how the loss of a higher power and a lowering of the educational quality fostered on our children is destroying the freedom of the United States of America.
